Five events to check out at Cisco Live in Barcelona

Catch BlueCat at Cisco Live EMEA in Barcelona from Jan. 29 to Feb. 2, 2018, to learn about the power of Adaptive DNS, plus five things not to miss!

From January 29 to February 2, 2018, some of the best and brightest organizations in the world of IT will be strutting their stuff at Cisco Live EMEA in Barcelona, and BlueCat is proud to be attending! We’re excited to demonstrate the power of Adaptive DNS and show how organizations can leverage DNS data to improve their network infrastructure and cybersecurity protocols.

Cisco Live will take place at the Fira Barcelona Gran Via (which is a venue to behold all on its own). So it’s only fitting that it will be home to some of the most innovative tech companies from around the globe over the course of five days.

In a city like Barcelona, there’s no shortage of incredible things to see and do, and this year’s edition of Cisco Live reflects the diversity and vibrancy of the city where it is taking place. Here’s a quick rundown of some of the top events and presentations that are sure to be worth a visit.

1. Opening keynote address

Kick off Cisco Live right! With invaluable insights from industry leaders, this keynote will set the tone for the days to come. BlueCat knows as well as anyone the importance of digital transformation to any corporate strategy. In fact, according to IDC, by the end of 2019, digital transformation spending is predicted to reach $1.7 trillion worldwide, a 42% increase from 2017.

2. Connected women’s event

After being voted as one of Canada’s Best Workplaces for Women (among others), BlueCat know the importance of having a diverse workplace where everyone is represented, and where everyone feels like they’re in a position to succeed. This event will feature a panel discussion and keynote address from successful women across the industry.

3. BlueCat CTO Andrew Wertkin presents: The Enemy Within

We might be a little biased, but this is one presentation you do not want to miss. BlueCat CTO Andrew Wertkin will walk attendees through our e-book, Exposing the Enemy Within, and explain how they can benefit from thinking like a malicious adversary. By understanding how attackers leverage DNS as part of your cyber defense, you’ll gain valuable insight into identifying and ultimately stopping a breach before damage is done, thanks to DNS data.

4. Tech Circles

At Cisco Live, the learning never stops. Even lunch is an opportunity to interact and engage. Tech Circles are a new take on Lunch and Learn sessions, allowing attendees and presenters to dive into exciting topics over a free lunch. But make sure to register beforehand – space is limited!

5. Get social!

After a long day of visiting booths and taking in presentations and engaging in discussion, it’s time to unwind and get to know your peers in a more relaxed setting. From the #CLEURSocial to Customer Appreciation Night, each day of Cisco Live ends with the opportunity to network with fellow attendees (snacks and drinks included, of course).

It’s safe to say that Cisco Live EMEA will have something for everyone. If you’ll be joining us in Barcelona, make sure to stop by BlueCat’s booth (G10) for some great demos, great conversation, and maybe even a few games and prizes! Haven’t registered yet? There’s still time. Register today and don’t miss your chance to network, learn, collaborate, and innovate with some of the best in the industry. We’ll see you there!
